"And I hope and expect that this will be the only time that I will speak to you in this manner.  ..." But nobody told me to say this! He is sitting on the fence, because he hasn't got a clue which side is going to win, and he thinks that being on the winning side will get him off the hook. He is gravely mistaken.

What is incredible is that nobody at the New York Times thought this was a bad thing. What is even more incredible is that nobody with some capital to invest has started another national daily paper and taken all the best journalists from the NYT and the Washington Post and a bunch of he best independent journalists, and got them apartments and hired them a competent private security company to protect them and their families, and started publishing a real newspaper again.

Trey Gowdy said on Tuesday that former CIA Director John Brennan is in more jeopardy than former FBI Director James Comey for the use of an unverified dossier for the Trump-Russia investigation.

John O. Brennan, president and CEO of the Analysis Corp., advises the Illinois Democrat on foreign policy and intelligence issues, the source said.

Brennan briefed the media on behalf of the campaign this month.

The executive is a former senior CIA official and former interim director of the National Counterterrorism Center.

He contributed $2,300 to the Obama campaign in January.

When asked about the contribution, a State Department official told CNN's Zain Verjee, "We ethically awarded contracts. Political affiliation is not one of the factors that we check."

Three contract employees are accused in the wrongdoing, including the one who works for Analysis Corp. and who was disciplined. That contract employee accessed McCain's file in addition to Obama's. None of the contract employees was identified. Learn more about the companies involved »

The other two contract employees worked for Stanley Inc. They were fired.

The Washington Times, which broke the story Thursday night that Obama's records had been improperly accessed, reported Saturday that the State Department inquiry is focusing on the Analysis Corp. employee. Also, the investigation by the department's inspector general will include polygraph tests for supervisors in the passport section to find out whether there was any political motive.

And a few months later, the US and UK bombed Libya. This is about how some of the crucial "evidence" for the Iraq invasion in 2003 was obtained under torture carried out in a rendition program that had been operating for years, involving collusion between the CIA, MI6 and Libyan Intelligence.

So it should come as no surprise that Tony Blair is worried, or that "Russiagate" has a British origin. And that is why every attempt to improve Russian-American relations is scuppered in Washington.

A British company called Gamma International previously marketed a piece of software to governments, called FinFisher. The software took advantage of the iTunes exploit and allowed those with the software to spy on those who used the software.

What’s most worrying about this is that Apple allegedly found out about the flaw in 2008, according to Brian Krebs, a security writer. But the company did nothing about it until earlier this month when it released iTunes 10.5.1 — leaving the exploit open for over three years.

FinFisher's wide use by governments facing political resistance was reported in March 2011 after Egyptian protesters raided State Security Investigations Service and found letters from Gamma International UK Ltd., confirming that SSI had been using a trial version for five months.
