Horrendously Complex Over-specialised Video Processing Hardware

This is how not to do it.


What we need are a general set of techniques to allow us to design custom video hardware which works at a lower level. For example, like this:


Except, instead of synthesizing VGA signals, we directly drive the panel using LVDS channels, from an FPGA

The idea here is to use rational splines to model solutions to differential equations and from these solutions to develop probabilistic models of images that can be encoded as finite state machines which use hardware to directly generate the series of images on the display.
