I fully expect to hear that the CIA and MI6 were behind the 2014 alliance between Saleh and the Houthis, and the subsequent five years of war with the Saudis and the UAE. Think of it as a sort of second-order Al-Yamamah arms-for-oil deal, but in two separate parts to avoid discovery. This operation is probably now being run out of Muscat with Israeli assistance.
