I'll tell you why. It's because the mental condition that makes it impossible for a traumatised person to live in a society is a mental condition of the society as a whole. I think you should seriously consider getting rid of your royal family before you kill any more of your own children.

There are a lot of ways to treat trauma like this, see for example, this post, but the economic and social rigidity makes them infeasible. What sort of society would you expect to emerge from this:
Change the economy, and you can handle this. But try telling that to your fucking royal family!
Apparently there are doubts as to the veracity of this particular story, but that doesn't change my views expressed above.
