And doesn't mention the flood of Li-Ion battery packs from Chinese manufacturers which people were selling by the thousands in 2016 and 2017. The thing is, we don't need lithium batteries for mobile phones and portable devices because 99% of the time they are used within a metre or two of an electrical supply. All we really need are capacitive stores for charge, and a way to electronically account for costs of charging. The same goes for vehicular use as far as I can see. The use of Lithium for batteries is a solution for an artifical problem, fuelled by fucking morons like Elon Musk.
