He evidently either did not listen to the speech Greta Thunberg actually made, or he did not understand it. Neither has he heard what she has said many times about the "standard of living" in Sweden and other countries. It is not Greta that is naïve, it's Putin that is naive if he thinks that the Russian economy will do any better than any other economy when all the world's natural resources have been wasted and turned into worthless cash, whether it's backed by gold bullion reserves or not.
Putin should listen carefully to this, and discuss it with Xi Jinping next time they meet.
