SCMP Footage of Hong Kong Protests

Clashes between police and demonstrators started when demonstrators were ordered to disperse. When they refused, police used pepper spray, then demonstrators charged the crowd control barriers and broke through into government cintrolled property. Police then used tear gas and smoke grenades. The demonstrators at all times seemed to be giving clear signals that they were not attacking police. This demonstration seems to have been very well-planned. See also this FT report.
