Global Military Spending up 80% in 2018

I think this is merely a consequence of weak economies being propped up. Also, when there hundreds of trillions of dollars unaccounted for in US military spending alone, it brings figures like those reported here, obtained from budgeted spending, somewhat into question, don't you think?
